.Get OpenMinds at your school

Are you interested in having an OpenMinds group come to your school? The programme involves medical students coming and delivering mental health education classes to students in secondary schools...

.

As part of the course, the medical students get training in teaching methods and lesson planning, so come in with lots of ideas to get your students thinking about mental health. We usually aim to work with students in year 9 but have given lessons to across KS3 and KS4 in the past.

.

Typically, schools ask for the lessons to be given as part of Personal, Social, Health and Economic education, but where you slot them in to the timetable is up to you! The medical students volunteer their time to deliver these lessons, so they are absolutely free.

.
